Tanneron ~ Route de Mimosa

This large commune is bordering to the Alpes Maritimes in the north & east, the A8 motorway in the south and Lac St Cassien to the west. 

Nestled in the heart of the Tanneron Massif  is the largest territory of mimosa cultivated as wild in France. Submerge yourself on a hike in a yellow forests of small fluffy fragrant balls.

The chapel with history dating back to the 10th century, was once a gateway to the Lérins estates and source of income for the Abbey of Lérins. In addition, built on the Draguignan – Grasse median axis, the chapel was used for trade and pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostela.

The routes up to the village and Col de Tanneron is a popular route for cyclists so be aware on the winding roads.
